Why Choose W!N Crisis Team?

Founder Pete DiCianni

When businesses, organizations and governmental entities are faced with escalating issues leading to crisis, decisive action and expertise is needed to minimize damage to their brands and reputations. In 2010, W!N Crisis founder Pete DiCianni learned first hand how managing crisis in a swift and professional manner can mitigate negative effects and allow a healing direction to occur. As Mayor of the City of Elmhurst, DiCianni took the lead on securing two FEMA disaster declarations for Elmhurst and surrounding communities due to floods following unprecedented “100-year” storms. Another round of “100-year” storms hit the area again only three years later in 2013. DiCianni could be found with knee high boots wading in the water logged streets finding ways to help families, and mobilized a team to limit the effects of the crises. In 2009, DiCianni also faced protecting the community and minimizing destruction, when Elmhurst was home to the first Illinois case of the H1N1 virus, the first global flu pandemic in more than 40 years.

DiCianni has more than 12 years of combined governmental experience as Elmhurst’s Chief Executive and currently as a County Legislator. His knowledge of working with Municipal, County, State and Federal Agencies blended with 30 plus years of private sector experience in Public Relations and Communications brings unique perspective putting together a lineup of extraordinary professionals highly proficient as a full service crisis team. DiCianni holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Elmhurst University's School of Business Management, and is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government’s Leadership in Crisis Executive Program and University of Illinois’ Leadership in County Government.
